Purchasing Pallets

What pallet sizes do you carry?

Our most popular size is the standard GMA 48x40 pallet, which accounts for about 70% of our inventory. We also stock 42x42, 48x48, 36x36, and other common sizes. If you need a non-standard dimension, our custom manufacturing team can build pallets to your exact specifications. Visit our size guide for a full breakdown of available dimensions.

View Size Guide
What is the minimum order quantity?

Our standard minimum order is 20 pallets for local Denver delivery. For customers outside the metro area, minimums may be higher depending on delivery distance. We offer volume pricing starting at 100 units, with significant discounts at 500+ and 1,000+ quantities. For smaller quantities, we recommend picking up directly from our yard at 435 Osage St, Denver.

What's the difference between Grade A, B, and C pallets?

Grade A pallets are like-new condition with no repairs and clean appearance — ideal for retail and export. Grade B pallets show normal wear with minor repairs allowed — the best value for most warehouse and shipping applications. Grade C pallets have heavy wear and multiple repairs but are still structurally sound — perfect for one-way shipping and heavy industry. All grades we sell are inspected for safety and load capacity.

How much do recycled pallets cost?

Pricing depends on size, grade, quantity, and current market conditions. As a general range for standard 48x40 GMA pallets: Grade A runs $8-$12 per unit, Grade B $5-$8, and Grade C $3-$5. New pallets start around $12-$20+. Volume discounts are available, and combo/mixed-grade loads offer the best per-unit value. Contact us for a custom quote based on your specific needs.

Do you offer heat-treated (ISPM-15) pallets?

Yes. We operate an on-site heat treatment chamber at our Denver facility, certified to ISPM-15 standards. We can heat-treat new or recycled pallets to the required 56°C core temperature for 30+ minutes. Every treated pallet receives the official IPPC stamp. Heat-treated pallets are required for all international shipments and are also preferred by many food, pharmaceutical, and government customers.

Can you build custom-sized pallets?

Absolutely. Our manufacturing team builds custom pallets to any dimension, with your choice of lumber species, board thickness, nailing pattern, and treatment. Whether you need oversized pallets for machinery, narrow pallets for tight spaces, or specialty designs for automated systems, we can engineer and produce them. Minimum order for custom builds is typically 50 units.

Selling

Selling Your Pallets

How do I sell my surplus pallets to you?

It's simple. Contact us with the approximate quantity, size, and condition of your pallets. We'll provide a quote based on current market value. If the price works for you, we'll schedule a pickup at your location — we handle all the loading and transportation. Payment is typically issued within 7 business days of pickup. There's no minimum quantity for selling, though larger volumes get better per-unit pricing.

Sell Your Pallets
What condition do pallets need to be in to sell?

We buy pallets in nearly any condition. Clean, lightly used pallets command the highest prices. Damaged pallets are still valuable — we repair and recycle everything we can. Even broken pallets have value as raw lumber and material. The only pallets we can't accept are those contaminated with hazardous materials, chemicals, or food waste that cannot be safely cleaned.

Do you offer ongoing pallet buyback programs?

Yes. For businesses that generate surplus pallets regularly, we offer scheduled pickup programs. We'll come to your facility on a recurring basis — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — to collect your used pallets. Many of our customers use this to offset their pallet purchasing costs. It's part of our full pallet management service.

Pallet Management
Recycling

Recycling & Sustainability

What happens to pallets that are too damaged to reuse?

Nothing goes to waste at Pallet Colorado. Pallets that can't be repaired are dismantled, and usable lumber is salvaged for repairs to other pallets. Remaining wood is ground into mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Metal fasteners are separated and sent to metal recyclers. Our goal is zero landfill waste — and we're currently diverting over 95% of incoming material from the waste stream.

Recycling Program
Is using recycled pallets environmentally friendly?

Absolutely. Every recycled pallet we sell prevents the equivalent of approximately 12 board feet of new lumber from being harvested. Across our annual volume, that translates to thousands of trees preserved and significant reductions in CO2 emissions from manufacturing. Recycled pallets also require far less energy to process compared to milling new lumber. Choosing recycled is one of the easiest sustainability wins in your supply chain.

Sustainability Report
Do you provide recycling certificates for compliance reporting?

Yes. We provide detailed recycling documentation for customers who need it for sustainability reporting, ESG compliance, or corporate environmental programs. Our reports include the volume of pallets recycled, estimated landfill diversion, and equivalent environmental impact metrics. Many of our customers use these reports for their annual sustainability disclosures.

Delivery

Delivery & Service Area

Do you deliver pallets?

Yes, we deliver throughout the Denver metro area and across Colorado's Front Range. Our fleet includes flatbed trucks capable of delivering full truckloads (up to 400+ pallets per load depending on size). Delivery is typically available within 24-48 hours of order confirmation. For locations outside our standard delivery area, we work with freight partners to serve customers statewide.

Delivery Service
What areas do you serve?

Our primary service area covers the entire Denver metro area, including Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Westminster, Centennial, Boulder, and Broomfield. We also make regular deliveries to Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Pueblo, and Grand Junction. For one-time or large orders, we can arrange delivery anywhere in Colorado and neighboring states.

Is there a delivery fee?

Delivery pricing depends on distance from our Denver yard (435 Osage St) and order size. For orders of 100+ pallets within the Denver metro area, delivery is often included at no additional charge. Smaller orders or longer distances may carry a delivery fee. We're always transparent about costs upfront — your quote will include delivery pricing before you commit.
